Speedway Sports Complex is one of the most comprehensive soccer and athletic training environments in the region, designed to support year-round player development, training, competition, and community engagement. Whether teams are training outdoors during the primary season or transitioning inside during winter months and inclement weather, Speedway allows players to continue developing in a high-quality environment with fewer interruptions and greater access to training space.

The Team 402 Advantage
Team 402 players benefit from training and competing in an environment specifically designed for long-term player development. Rather than constantly changing locations or losing valuable training opportunities due to weather, Team 402 teams operate within a centralized system that creates consistency across all age groups and levels of play.
Outdoor training typically takes place from late July through October and again from April through early June, while indoor Fieldhouse training provides uninterrupted development opportunities throughout the winter months from November through March. This year-round structure helps maximize touches on the ball, maintain player fitness, and create continuity in coaching and development.
The Speedway environment also allows Team 402 to offer more than traditional team training. Players have access to Performance Training opportunities focused on strength, speed, agility, injury prevention, and overall athletic development. Older players and teams also benefit from Hudl film and analysis tools that support player evaluation, team improvement, and college recruiting exposure.
Most importantly, the centralized nature of the complex helps create a unified club culture where younger players can see a clear pathway for growth and development throughout the organization.

By opening the facility to multiple clubs and organizations, Speedway has become a central hub for soccer development in Lincoln and the surrounding region.
